How do I get started?

Contact us to arrange an appointment. Gather all your items to be digitised or converted.

How long will it take?

This all depends on how many photos, slides or videos you have. On average 1000 photos takes approx 2-3 weeks. We can comfortably work to any time frame requirements you have.

Who scans my photos?

All digitisation, conversion and design services are performed in house at History Savers. We never outsource to any third parties or send your precious memories overseas. The safety of your originals is our number one priority.

Do i need to take photos out of the Album?

No. We can assess if it is safe to take the photos out of the albums without causing damage. We can still scan the photos if they are stuck in the album.

How will my digitised and Converted memories be returned to me?

Your family memories will be digitised and/or converted and returned to you on either a USB or External Hard Drive (depending on file size) and can also be uploaded to the Cloud.

Some of my photos/slides/negatives are dirty/mouldy. Can you scan these?

Yes, the results depend on how much damage the mould has created. We assess this and provide the best image we can from the photographic format.

Can we have more then one copy so I can share with other family members?

Yes. We happily provide multiple copies of your USB or completed albums.

Can we put them online?

Yes, you will now have a digital library of your photos so that you can share them online with family and friends. We also recommend you upload your photos to the cloud or similar as an external backup.

Filing systems for photos

If you have a specific order for scanning and saving your photos, let us know and we can accommodate this. Alternatively, we can develop one in consultation with you.

We need a slideshow quickly, can you help?

Yes we can. We can design a slideshow for a funeral or special event.

Which suburbs do you service?

Sydney, Central Coast, Blue Mountains & Wollongong. If you live outside these areas - let us know as we regularly visit country NSW so can co-ordinate a visit on our next History Savers road trip.
